Terms of Service
These terms are an agreement between you and TechOn for your use of the TechOn mobile app, website and related services (the “Service”).
1. Accepting these terms
By creating an account or using the Service you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the Service. You must be at least 13 years old, and if you are under 18 you need permission from a parent or guardian.
2. Your account
- Give accurate information and keep your password confidential. You are responsible for activity on your account.
- Tell us promptly at techontz@gmail.com if you think your account has been compromised.
- You can delete your account at any time from the app or at https://api.techon.co.tz/delete-account.
3. Content you post
You keep ownership of what you post in the community. By posting, you give TechOn a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it within the Service, for as long as it remains on the Service.
You are responsible for what you post and must follow the Community Guidelines. We may remove content or suspend accounts that break these terms or the guidelines. You can report any post or comment from inside the app.
4. Courses and premium content
- Course content is licensed to you for personal, non-commercial learning. It is not sold to you.
- You must not copy, record, screenshot, download, share or resell premium content, or try to bypass the protections on it.
- Access to paid content is tied to your account and ends if the account is deleted or suspended for a breach of these terms.
5. Purchases
Prices are shown in the app before you pay. Payments are processed by our payment provider under its own terms. Unless the law or the product page states otherwise, digital content that you have started to access is non-refundable. If something you bought does not work, contact us and we will make it right.
6. Services and quotes
Requesting a quote through the app does not create a contract. Any software or design work is governed by a separate written agreement between you and TechOn.
7. Acceptable use
You must not:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's intellectual property or privacy;
- harass, threaten, impersonate or spam other people;
- upload malware, or probe, scrape, overload or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service;
- use the Service to collect other users' personal data.
8. Our content
The Service, including its design, logos, articles, courses, podcasts and software, belongs to TechOn or its licensors and is protected by law. These terms do not give you any right to use our name or branding.
9. Availability and changes
We work to keep the Service available and accurate, but it is provided “as is”. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may update these terms. If we make significant changes we will tell you in the app; continuing to use the Service afterwards means you accept the updated terms.
10. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, TechOn is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for content posted by other users. Our total liability to you for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be excluded.
11. Ending your use
You can stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close accounts that seriously or repeatedly break these terms, and will tell you why unless the law prevents it.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the United Republic of Tanzania. Disputes will be handled by the courts of Tanzania, unless the law of your country gives you the right to bring a claim there.
